Our first purchase of Scottish Highland cattle was in 1991 from Honey Hill Farm. Thru the years with buying stock at Highland shows & sales & from other individuals, we have enjoyed both the cattle & the camaraderie of the Highland breeders.

Now due to health problems we find that we must sell our entire herd before winter 2005.
We added 2 Long Horn cows to our herd, crossing them with the Highlands we have been very happy with the results. A good fast growing cross that like, their Dams, will eat at times when the Highlands are shaded up yet, like the Highlanders maintain a good body weight as temperatures drop & the cattle go to winter feed.

Unique Acres Mac's Gumdrop

We are very happy to add this fine heifer to our herd & look forward to many years of great calves from this excellent heifer from Unique Acres.

I hope that everyone will look at the fine animals that Jess & Ruth have available in their herd dispersal.
Anyone knowing cattle knows that Jess has some of the finest Highland cattle available in the North East. We were just lucky to get first look at the herd. I'd love to add on more animals from the herd at Unique Acres, but we can't always get every animal we want.

We at Locustbrae wish Jess & Ruth our best & hope that the animals are sold to farms that hold their value as highly as we do!!
